SCULPTURE TO WEAR Gallery represents the best in innovative contemporary art jewelry, designers accessories and artist created clothing. Visionary Proprietor, Lisa M. Berman has assembled work from the most celebrated and influential designers, metalsmiths and jewelry artists of our time. The gallery debuted in 1999 in Bergamot Station Art Center and was moved to upscale Montana Ave., in 2003. In both locations, the gallery hosted museum caliber exhibitions by international artists, curated by the owner or notable guest curators that were thematically inspired or geographically based. SCULPTURE TO WEAR is now operated by appointment only in an atelier in Brentwood. The gallery continues to present an eclectic variety of hand-crafted, one of a kind and limited edition jewelry collections, from earrings, rings (including innovative Wedding bands), brooches, necklaces – small to large scale “statements”, bracelets, as well as functional and non-functional sculptural objects. The notable artists, test the boundaries of their own imagination (and of the wearer), some working with unexpected mediums such as: neoprene, paper, rocks, inner tubes of tires, rubber bands, glass, coffee cans, to more precious and semi precious materials: Tahitian pearls, gold, silver and platinum. Artist Submissions: Portfolios may be sent via mail or email..Portfolio images submitted via email (website links are preferred) must be sent as GIF or JPEG formats only. Images should not exceed 200kb per image. Attachments that do not follow these guidelines will not be reviewed. STW will request higher quality images if needed.
